Warriors superstar Stephen Curry to miss some time with injury

Golden State Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry will miss the start of the franchise’s six-game road trip after suffering a pelvic contusion. The veteran guard was injured during Thursday’s 117-114 win over the Toronto Raptors, but an MRI on Friday revealed no structural damage.

Per an official update from the team, the superstar guard won’t play in Saturday’s road game against the Atlanta Hawks. He will receive treatment for the injury and will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Stephen Curry suffered the injury while driving for a layup late in the third quarter. He landed hard on his tailbone and left the game, heading to the locker room.

An 11-time All-Star, two-time NBA scoring champion and two-time MVP, the four-time NBA champion has scored in double figures in 57 of the 59 games he’s played this season. He went into the game against Toronto averaging a team-leading 24.3 points and scored 17 against the Raptors before exiting the game.
