Shane Larkin addressed the reports about his former teammate Vasilije Micic returning to Europe after a couple of years in the NBA. The former NBA player and superstar guard of Anadolu Efes believes that when the time comes, Vasilije Micic will make the best decision.
“I’m sure he’ll make the best decision for himself, but I’m sure a lot of people over here in Europe are missing him and his game, because when he’s over here, he’s one of the best players. I’ll see him soon, obviously, and we’ll see what he does,” Shane Larkin said. [h/t Eurohoops.net]
The Serbian guard has downplayed reports about a return to Europe, but hasn’t ruled out joining a EuroLeague team in the summer, with reigning champions Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda and his former team, Anadolu Efes, being candidates to land him. Likewise, Hapoel Tel-Aviv has also expressed interest to sign the former EuroLeague champion.
Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic spent five years together in Anadolu Efes (2018-2023), winning the EuroLeague in straight seasons (2021, 2022). In the NBA, he has played for the OKC Thunder, Charlotte Hornets and, currently, for the Phoenix Suns.
