Report: Jonas Valanciunas joins Jokic in Denver

The Denver Nuggets finalized another offseason deal trading Dario Saric for Sacramento Kings bigman Jonas Valanciunas, according to Shams Charania.

The Nuggets are able to absorb Valanciunas’ bigger contract due to the extra financial flexibility they gained after the Cam Johnson trade.

With that move, Saric is heading to Sacramento in order to play alongside Domantas Sabonis, while Jonas Valanciunas is arriving in Colorado as the backup center behind Nikola Jokic.

Last season, the Lithuanian averaged 10.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 18.8 minutes per game in Sacramento.

The Nuggets have already made an impressive entrance to the 2025 NBA offseason adding depth to their roster. They already have agreed terms with Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. in addition to adding Johnson and Valanciunas via trade.
