Real Madrid reportedly enters crucial week regarding Pablo Laso’s future

Real Madrid will play two important games in the coming week as head coach Pablo Laso could be on the hot seat regarding his future at the club, per Marca.

According to the report, the veteran head coach is facing his first crisis in years as the coach of “Los Blancos”.

Several people in the club believe that Laso lost the locker room and his players’ trust. The Spanish giants have lost six of their last nine games in all competitions.

Until Jan.23, Madrid soared past Liga Endesa and EuroLeague, being the leading team in both competitions. They had just four defeats in 38 games.

There is no game, and there is barely any “soul” in the last few games. The “Whites” have experienced defeats in the last four home games in the Spanish league.

Despite all that, Real president Florentino Perez has not lost his faith in the legendary head coach.

Laso has won 21 titles with the club and has helped Real return to the elite tier of the European basketball stage. His team was cruising past its opponents at the start of the season.

However, Laso will need to right the ship in order to remain in the club, according to Marca. Many people around the team believe that the situation is unretrievable, per the same report.

Madrid will host Armani Milano Thursday for Round 29 of the EuroLeague regular season. Before that, they will play against Crvena Zvezda Tuesday. Victories in those two games could be revamped Real and put the team back on its winning ways.
