Olimpia Milano honors EuroLeague legend Vassilis Spanoulis

Prior to the game vs AS Monaco Basket, Olimpia Milano honored EuroLeague legend Vassilis Spanoulis for his contribution to basketball, the team announced.

The former Olympiacos captain retired last season after 22 years of career and 11 seasons with Olympiacos. The three-time EuroLeague winner is the current all-time leader in points (4455), assists (1607), and PIR (4183).

He was named Final Four MVP three times and he is a 8x member of the All-EuroLeague Team with career averages of 12.4 points, 4.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 328 EuroLeague games.

He also won seven domestic league titles during his stint with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos being in an exclusive club of players, who played in both EuroLeague giants. Spanoulis was named to the 2010-20 All-Decade Team of the competition.

The Olympiacos legend is in Italy as a coach at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Varese now, as he was in Belgrade and Patras earlier this year.
