Timberwolves stun Clippers to advance to playoffs

The Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the Los Angeles Clippers at home (104-109) and advanced to the NBA playoffs.

Trailed by 10 in the fourth (93-83), the Timberwolves turned things around and outscored the Clippers 11-26 to seal the deal.

Anthony Edwards (30 points, 10/21 shooting, 5 three-pointers) and D’Angelo Russell (29 points, 10/18 shooting) combined for 59 points for the winners.

On the other hand, Paul George led all scorers with a game-high 34 points (10/24 shooting, 6 three-pointers) for the losing squad.

Following their victory, the Timberwolves advanced to the postseason for just the second time since 2004. They will now take on the Memphis Grizzlies in the opening round.

On the other hand, the Clippers will have a second chance to reach the playoffs. On Friday, they wil play the winner of the New Orleans Pelicans vs San Antonio Spurs play-in game.

If they win, they will clinch the eighth spot and will face the Phoenix Suns in the first round. The NBA playoffs tip off on April 16.
