Kyle Hines says he’s happy to continue in Milan

Kyle Hines has officially singed a new deal with Lega Baket champions Olimpia Milan the team announced Monday. GM Christos Stavropoulos announced the deal Sunday, and the club made it official on Monday.

After coming to Milano in the summer of 2020, Hines has won one Italian League championship, a Supercup, two Italian Cups and helped the team reach the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021.

He was the EuroLeague best defender for the 2021-22 season, but Milan was unable to passed by EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes in the playoffs the past April. The Italian side faced many injury struggles, but Hines was among the most consistent contributors.

Olimpia Milano beat Virtus Bologna Saturday to claim the 2022 LegaBasket championship, and the veteran big added one more title to his great collection. Prior to the Italian champions, Hines played for seven seasons in CSKA and had stops with Olympiacos and Bamberg.

“Milano is a city that my family and I have come to love, I like this organization, I like to play with this group of guys. I chose Milano to keep winning, which is the only important thing for me, I’m happy to be able to continue here,” Hines said.
