NBA Rumors: Bucks in talks with Suns for Jae Crowder

Milwaukee Bucks have engaged in conversation about veteran forward Jae Crowder, Shams Charania reports. Crowder has been set out of the Suns’ rotation since the start of the season after demanding a trade.

Since then, many teams have expressed interest and engaged in talks with Phoenix for the veteran forward. Crowder, 32, has spent the past two seasons with the Suns after signing with the team in November 2020.

He was a crucial part of the team’s NBA Finals run during the 2021 playoffs and he was a starter last season, when the Suns finished with the best record in the NBA.

For the past season, Crowder averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 28.1 minutes per game. The Heat and the Hawks remain in interested in Crowder as well.

Crowder has one year and $10.1 million remaining on his current contract, and he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Crowder was part of the Miami team that reached the 2020 NBA Finals and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games (4-2). He can be a valuable piece for any contending team including the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks are lacking depth in the wing position and they are missing Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton due to injuries at the start of the 2022-23 campaign.
