Phoenix Suns seek to land a forward in Jae Crowder trade

The Phoenix Suns have made Jae Crowder available for a trade since the start of the season and have specific expectations on what they want in return.

So far, there has been significant interest for the veteran forward, yet the Suns will only move him for the right deal.

As Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports, Phoenix isn’t interested in receiving additional salary, but they want to land a forward and bolster their roster.

“I’ve heard from some executives that Phoenix doesn’t want to take on much additional salary, if at all, ideally if Crowder is moved, and they’d like a forward back,” Scotto said on a recent episode of The HoopsHype Podcast, via Jason Simpson of Heat Nation.

The Phoenix Suns have the best record in the West right now (16-8) and aim for another deep postseason run. Hence, bolstering their roster makes perfect sense as they are expecting a Jae Crowder trade to take place soon.
