Sixers’ Tyrese Maxey expected to return before Christmas

Tyrese Maxey is expected to return to the Philadelphia 76ers’ lineup before Christmas, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The young guard is dealing with a fractured foot he suffered on November 19. The initial timetable was three to four weeks and it seems he will need the entire four weeks to get back to the floor.

“I’m told that he is still on target for that one-month timeline from that November 19th injury,” Wojnarowski said. “…The expectation is that he’s on course to be back before Christmas.”

The Philadelphia 76ers will kick off a seven-game home stand Friday vs the Los Angeles Lakers. This stretch will come to an end on December 21st when they host the Detroit Pistons.

The Sixers will then take on the Los Angeles Clippers (December 23) and will face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day.
