Nemanja Bjelica has yet to play for Fenerbahce, after a calf injury that has sidelined him since late August.
It was a slow recovery process for the Serbian forward, who is close to his season debut with the Turkish powerhouse, which could happen as early as this week.
“The right person to answer this question is our team doctor. Lastly, I was told that he was very close to being included in the team but that he felt something in his Achilles recently, and a more detailed observation is being made about this.
Under normal circumstances, he (Nemanja Bjelica) should have been included in the team after this match, but we will see where we are when we return,” Fenerbahce head coach Dimitris Itoudis said on Sunday.
Fenerbahce (12-7) is on a two-game winning streak and will host Monaco in Round 20Â next Thursday.
