ASVEL to unveil new arena vs. Bayern

ASVEL LDLC will open the door of its new arena, LDLC Arena in Lyon, France in the EuroLeague round 10 matchup vs. Bayern Munich. Thursday’s game will mark the first of at least 12 EuroLeague showdowns that ASVEL will play this season at LDLC Arena.

Basketball Hall of Famer and club president Tony Parker made the dream of LDLC ASVEL fans true in hoping of cementing a place for the French giants in Europe’s top competition.

“LDLC Arena is going to be one of the nicest arenas in the world,” Parker said via EuroLeague.net. “The opening of the LDLC Arena is the culmination of a decade of having worked very hard with people who have trusted and followed us, an incredible human adventure.”

“I will enter at the arena with great emotion. We have won many titles, we built the academy, but it is not every day that we can achieve a big project like this,” the former Spurs superstar revealed.

The arena was build to house 12,000 fans for basketball games making one of the biggest and most high-tech arenas in Europe. Parker took over ASVEL as a president in 2016 and since the club made huge steps forward, especially outside.

The next step for ASVEL is to become a strong team on the court and bolstered its reputation in the European stage by winning games. ASVEL has been on a slow start in the first nine games earning 2 wins in the first 9 nine games.
