Tyrese Haliburton on brewing rivarly between Pacers and Bucks: “We haven’t been there yet”

Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers have dominated the matchups against the Milwaukee Bucks this season.

The teams already played 4 times so far this year the in-season tournament semi-final included and they will have to meet once more on Wednesday. The Pacers outmatched the Bucks in 3 of their last 4 games, with the last one coming the past weekend where Tyrese Haliburton led his team to a 122-113 win on the road.

“ That’s a team that’s competed for a championship for multiple years,” Haliburton said. “We’re on the up-and-up, but we haven’t been there yet. A lot of respect for them as a group,” Tyrese Haliburton said.

“I don’t think I can really call it a rivalry yet. But we’re going to compete no matter who it’s against, and we play these guys a lot during the year. We’re ready when we see them.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo has repeatedly praised the Pacers and Tyrese Haliburton and, however, he had a really animated argument with several Pacers players after dropping a career-high 64 points on December 14.

The Bucks’ superstar demanded the ball that it was taken to Indiana’s locker room, according to Milwaukee’s players and staff. In fact, after the end of the game, Antetokounmpo wasn’t sure that he was given the game ball after leading the Bucks to their first win over Indiana in the season.

After the incident, both teams tried to keep a low profile, while Pacers’ head coach Rick Carlisle pointed at the situation as a clear misunderstanding. In any case, both teams, two of the best offenses in the league, will meet again on Wednesday in their final matchup of the regular season.
