Anthony Edwards believes he is the best player of the young generation in the NBA

Anthony Edwards has emerged as one of the best players in the NBA. He is one of the leaders of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who hold the top spot in the West with a 39-17 record. The Timberwolves are tied with the OKC Thunder, who have exceeded expectations so far, led by young superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Anthony Edwards talked about the young generation of the NBA and its megastars, like SGA, Luka Doncic and Trae Young, and he believes he is the best player of the league’s young generation.

“I feel like I’m the better player,” Anthony Edwards told ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, via Eurohoops.net.

The Timberwolves’ megastar has averages of 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists, on 38.4 percent from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, SGA has averages of 31.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists, on 37.5 percent from three, while Luka Doncic is averaging 34.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 9.6 assists, on 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Anthony Edwards has a bright future in front of him and remains the Minnesota Timberwolves’ best chance of reaching the top of the NBA and claiming the championship.

Edwards recently got high praise from teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, who believes he will become the ‘face of the NBA’ soon.

“He brings a smile to all of our faces. When he plays the game the way he has been playing right now, I think he is one of the top players in the NBA. He is a huge boost for our locker room with the charisma and personality that he has. He is special, and I keep saying it, he is going to be the face of the NBA sooner or later. We are super honored to play with him and we will continue to help him in this process,” Karl-Anthony Towns said during an appearance on First Take.

For his part, Anthony Edwards has his sights set on a deep playoff run with the Timberwolves and believes Minnesota can go all the way if they stay healthy.

“If everybody stays healthy I think we’re going to be a problem in the playoffs, for sure. I think I’m a big impact on being in the way if I’m trying to hunt shots and play iso-ball the entire night and not get my teammates involved. So I think ourselves, we’re in our own way,” Edwards said, via Sports Illustrated.

The Timberwolves are part of a four-team race for the top spot in the West, alongside the Thunder, LA Clippers and reigning champions Denver Nuggets. One and a half games separate these four title contenders.
