Serbia expected to rule out another player ahead of FIBA EuroBasket

Serbia is expected to rule out another player ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket in September (1-18). Aleksa Avramovic is expected to miss the tournament, as he is dealing with a right hand injury.

According to Mozzart Sport, Avramovic will miss a couple of months and will return to action in early October.

The 27-year-old gurad is the second player that leaves the training camp this week, as captain Milos Teodosic will not play in the EuroBasket as well. An official announcement by the Serbian Basketball Federation is now expected.

The 17 players that will continue their preparation for the upcoming Basketball World Cup Qualifiers and EuroBaket are as follows:

Nemanja Bjelica (Fenerbahce), Dejan Davidovac (CSKA Moscow), Ognjen Dobric (Crvena Zvezda), Marko Guduric (Fenerbahce), Marko Jagodic-Kuriza (Buducnost), Ognjen Jaramaz (FC Bayern Munich), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Nikola Kalinic (FC Barcelona), Balsa Koprivica (Partizan), Vladimir Lucic (FC Bayern Munich), Vanja Marinkovic (Baskonia), Vasilije Micic (Anadolu Efes), Nikola Milutinov (CSKA Moscow), Nemanja Nedovic (Crvena Zvezda), Filip Petrusev (Crvena Zvezda), Dusan Ristic (Fuenlabrada) and Borisa Simanic (Zaragoza)

The Serbians will take on Greece (August 25) and Turkey (August 28) in the first two games of the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.

They will then travel to Prague for the group stage of the EuroBasket. They will face the Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Israel and the Czech Republic in Group D.
