Greece NT captain Kostas Papanikolaou spoke with Hedgeout.net after the victory over the Czech Republic (94-88) and the qualification for the Top-8 of the EuroBasket.
The all-around forward said the team’s defensive approach in the fourth quarter and especially in the last part of the game was key to the Greeks winning the game and reaching the Quarter-finals.
Papanikolaou and Greece now have their sights set on the clash with hosts Germany at Mercedes-Benz Arena on Tuesday. The captain of Olympiacos called the Germans a ‘solid and talented team’ that plays with a lot of energy and expects a tough battle.

The Greek forward spent almost 28 minutes on the floor and had 8 points (2/6 shooting) and 7 rebounds.
