Nikola Mirotic reacts to standing ovation from Barcelona fans

Nikola Mirotic shared his thoughts on the standing ovation he got from Barcelona fans in Game 1 vs Real Madrid.

These will be his last games at Palau Blaugrana, as he will leave the Catalans after the end of the ACB Finals, as Barcelona decided to let him go.

“I am very grateful to the people. For me, they have been very important and they continue to be. Palau has always accompanied me, they have always been there for me and for the team. Right now it’s more appreciated. They know that my commitment to them and the club is total. I’m going to be professional and do my best,” Nikola Mirotic said afterwards.

Nikola Mirotic and Barcelona were under contract until the summer of 2025, but the 2022 EuroLeague MVP leaves the club early and has already reportedly agreed to join Armani Milano.

Mirotic played in three straight EuroLeague Final Fours (2021, 2022, 2023, as the 2019/20 came to an end in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic) with the Catalans, without claiming the title.
