Shavon Shields returns in Milan’s triumph vs Trieste

Olimpia Milano returned to its winning ways after a painful OT loss in EuroLeague to Real Madrid.

The Italian league-leaders saw Shavon Shields returning from a right hand injury. The forward suffered the injury on Dec.18 in a game against Real Madrid.

In his first game in almost three months, Shields put up 16 points in Milan’s 102-84 win over Trieste Sunday night.

Caleb Tarczewski was the best player for the Italian powerhouse registering 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sergio Rodriguez added 13 points and eight assists for the winning side.

Corey Davis scored 14 points for the losing side, while Andrejs Grazulis had 13 and Adrian Banks added 12 points.

Armani Milano improved to 18-2, remaining at the top of the Italian League. Trieste dropped to 10-11, ranked sixth in the standings.
