Rudy Gobert has yet to decide if he will make himself available for the 2022 EuroBasket, which will take place on September 1-18.
For now, the Utah Jazz center is focused on NBA playoffs and the series against the Dallas Mavericks. In a recent interview with L’Equipe, the All-Defense center will take his time to reflect on his decision after the NBA playoffs.
“For now, I have the lead in the NBA playoffs with Utah. I haven’t made a decision. We will see how I will be, psychologically and physically,” Gobert claimed.
France NT will participate in the EuroBasket 2022 with some important absences. Nando De Colo will not be available, while, the same goes for veteran forward Nicolas Batum.
The good news are that some players have already made themselves available for the competition with OKC’s young star Theo Maledon and Knicks’ scoring guard Evan Fournier being ready to help their national team.
The French NT will be in the Final Phase of 2022 EuroBasket played in Germany. The Blues will play Germany, Italy, Georgia and the Czech Republic in the first round of the competition.
