Greece dealing with major upset as Dinos Mitoglou misses FIBA World Cup

Ahead of its FIBA World Cup opener vs Jordan, Greece has to deal with a major upset.

More specifically, the coaching staff has ruled big man Dinos Mitoglou out with a finger fracture.

The player, who was one of the best players during the training camp, didn’t want to take the risk of re-aggravating the injury during the games and thus he has decided to skip the tournament and return to Athens to rehab.

Greece, which will face Jordan, Team USA and New Zealand in the opening round, can’t replace Mitoglou and its roster currently stands at 11 players.
