Sasha Vezenkov avoids serious knee injury; questionable for Game 3 vs Panathinaikos

Sasha Vezenkov had to leave Game 2 of the Greek League Finals vs Panathinaikos in the third quarter with a knee injury.

The superstar forward of Olympiacos was carried off the court and left the arena before the end of the game to undergo medical tests. After an MRI, it appears he has avoided a serious right knee injury, but his participation on Sunday’s Game 3 is questionable. Vezenkov spent 21 minutes on the floor before leaving the game and had six points.

Panathinaikos stood tall at OAKA Altium and evened the series vs Olympiacos (67-65). It was a hard-fought battle that was decided in the final seconds, with Mateusz Ponitka hitting the go-ahead three-pointer for Panathinaikos with 17.4 seconds to go and Shaquielle McKissic missing the game-winning three at the buzzer.
